James Robert Anderson, 69, died Nov. 11, 2012, at his home. He was born in Stuart. After moving to Broward County more than 40 years ago, he continued his education and became a licensed barber, skilled horticulturist and groundskeeper. He retired from the city of Pembroke Pines. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County. Survivors include his wife, Kay L. Anderson of Broward County; son, Jimmy Lopez of Broward County; daughters, Kimberly Moore and Teresa P. Anderson, both of Broward County; brothers, Jesse H. Anderson, Dr. David Anderson, Charles Anderson and Anthony Anderson, all of Martin County; sisters, Daisy Smith of Broward County and Agnes Duncombe, Margaret Patton, Ruth Stubbs and Joanne Andrews, all of Martin County; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bishop Jesse H. Anderson and Alberta Porter Anderson; and sisters, Annie Bell Anderson, Nora Bell McGahee and Marie Yvonne Kendell. Services: Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Port Salerno Church of God in Stuart followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at the church with Bishop Howard J.
