Joe Claassen Obituary

Joe R. Claassen, 52, died June 4, 2008, at Laurel Pointe in Fort Pierce. He was born in Knoxville, Iowa, and lived in Fort Pierce for nine years, coming from Indiana. He was a factory worker. He was a martial artist with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Survivors include his daughter, Leila Claassen of New Port Richey; son, Joe Tyler Claassen of New Port Richey; his parents, Richard and Lois Claassen of Fort Pierce; brothers, James Claassen of Fort Pierce and Keith Claassen of Etna Green, Ind.; and sister, Dawn Purcell of Round Rock, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 2500 Virginia Ave., Suite 202, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Yates Funeral Home and Crematory in Fort Pierce.
