John E. Kusko, 65, died Dec. 29, 2012, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Fort Pierce. He was born in Bronx, N.Y., and lived in Fort Pierce for eight years, coming from Patchogue, N.Y. Before retirement, he was a police officer for Suffolk County, N.Y., for 20 years. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of The Crossings Church in Fort Pierce, where he volunteered in various programs including the Food Pantry. He was a member of the PBA in Long Island, N.Y. Survivors include his wife, Angela Kusko of Fort Pierce; daughters, Barbara McManus of Mastic, N.Y., Diana Kusko of New York, N.Y.; stepsons, Michael LaPonte and Rick LaPonte both of Selven, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
