Lewis McCully Obituary

Lewis Clair McCully, 73, died May 18, 2011, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in Vero Beach and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Cincinnati. He worked for 30 years for several airlines, including Eastern, National, Pan Am and Delta. He held a private pilot and flight engineer license. He served four years in the Navy, where he was aviation electrician. He was a member of Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach. He was a 1955 graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1955. Survivors include his sons, Tim McCully and Jim McCully, both of Orlando, and Michael McCully of Fort Lauderdale; daughters, Cindy Duffy of Davie and Susie Rigsby of Clermont; sister, Sandra Pyles of Toledo, Ohio; brother, Keith McCully of Vero Beach; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. May 28 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Frank Ellis officiating.
