Mary Phyllis France, 80, died May 9, 2013, at home. She was born in Plattsburg, N.Y., and lived in Hobe Sound for 34 years, coming from Denville, N.J. She attended the Wilson School in Boston, where she received her certificate in medical laboratory technology, electrocardiography and radiology technology. Most recently she had worked for the practice of Dr. Francis Murphy in Stuart. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound, and belonged to the monthly Martin County Ladies' Rosary Group. She was a past president of the Eaglewood Ladies Golf Association in Hobe Sound. Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Marie Farrell of Lake Worth, and Sister Cheryl Anne France, S.C., M.D., Sister of Charity of Weston, W.Va; two grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joseph France. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. May 13 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound, followed by a celebration of life at the Eaglewood Clubhouse in Hobe Sound.
