Norma Ashby Obituary

Norma J. Ashby, 70, died May 30, 2011, at Palm City Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., and lived on the Treasure Coast since 1994, coming from Danbury, Conn. Before retirement, she was an office administrator. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Monarch Country Club, both in Palm City. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Ben G. Ashby of Palm City; daughters, Cynthia Bethke of Pinckey, Mich., and Catherine Klotz of Leesville, S.C.; sisters, Nancy Purigraski of Palm City and Joanne Appeddu of Perrysburg, Ohio; and four grandchildren; Memorial contributions may be made to Norma J. Ashby Endowment, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2655 S.W. Immanuel Drive, Palm City, FL 34990. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. June 1 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel and 10 to 11 a.m. June 2 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palm City. Services will be at 11 a.m. June 2 at the church. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City. A gathering in the fellowship hall in Immanuel Lutheran church will follow the entombment. A guestbook is available at foresthillspalmcityflorida.com.
