Peter Fiske Obituary

Peter Alan Fiske, 69, died May 5, 2011, at Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. He was born in Rocky River, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for five years, coming from Bremen, Maine. Before retirement, he was a real estate agent and broker in Denver and El Paso and Austin, Texas, and owned the Damariscotta Lake Farm's bed and breakfast in Damariscotta, Maine. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member and president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Vero Beach. He was of the Episcopal faith. He graduated from Denver University. Survivors include his daughter, Juli Ann Cooper of West Minster, Colo.; son, John Joseph Fiske of Dallas; brothers, Andrew Fiske of Vero Beach, Patrick Fiske and Kevin Fiske, both of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.; and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3375 20th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: A private service will be later. Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. A guestbook is available at www.lowtherfuneralhome.com.

Pete and I worked at Wood Bros homes in Denver and played golf together along with Bob Burk. He was transferred to Colorado Springs so we only got together a couple of times after that but on one visit to their home they gave us a puppy named Pokey.
