SWIDER Peter Aloysius Swider, Jr 12/28/31-12/22/13, Sebastian; retired United Marine Worker, Tugboat captain, loving husband, devoted father, playful and fun grandfather, avid poker and golf player died peacefully after a prolonged battle w cardiac and kidney disease. Peter was born in Newark NJ to Peter A and Anne H (Barwikowski) Swider. He honorably served in the USN during the Korean War. He then went on to a long distinguished career in the shipping business attaining the rank of Captain while plying the waters of the eastern seaboard for various Tugboat companies. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Teresa Capoocia, daughter Tina A, and son in law Thomas R Vadas. He is survived by his constant companion and love - his wife Sally Ann (Genco), his brother John S (Delores), his children Susan (Gary) Metcalf, Peter E (Cindy), David (Sandy) Horvath, Sandie Vadas, Paul D E (Chrissy) and 11 grandchildren. His service and internment will be on Jan 4 at 2pm at St Elizabeths Episcopal Church 901 Clearmont St Sebastian. A repast will follow in the fellowship hall immediately after the ceremony.
