RICHARD MULLIGAN Richard Charles Mulligan, born November 24, 1937, in East Hartford, Connecticut, to Ann Downey and Charles James, died December 3, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; daughters, Elaine (Lee Lynch), Gail (Richard Huckins), Patricia (Ron Sanson); grandson, Anthony Richard Wolz; and preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Elaine Leonard Mulligan. Dick was valedictorian of Marianapolis Prep, New York, (1955) and graduated with a BA in Political Science from Colgate University (1959), where he was also a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, followed by active duty in the US Army (1959-1960). While residing in Bloomingdale and Sparta, New Jersey, he was a top commercial broker for Sentry Insurance (1968-1998) and The Chadler Group (1999- 2005). Dick was also a Lions Club Governor's Award recipient and a member of Lake Mohawk Country Club, Sparta, New Jersey, from 1972 to 2005, after which he retired to Stuart, Florida, where he was a member of Mariner Sands, Stuart Yacht and Country Club, and Miles Grant Golf Club. A man of great compassion, wit, and Irish charm, and a life- long Red Sox fan, he will be sorely missed by his family and many dear friends. Visitations will be held Saturday, December 8th at Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart, FL from 1pm to 2pm and 4pm to 5pm.
