ROBERT H. BURGER Robert (Bob) H. Burger, 87, passed away August 27, 2013 at Hospice House in Vero Beach,
Florida. Born in Tiffin, Ohio, Bob lived in Cleveland, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, moving to Vero Beach in 1981. Bob graduated from Bowling Green State University, majoring in Industrial Management where he was also a past president of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. While serving in the Navy during WW II he was stationed aboard the USS Texas and USS Indiana as a Turret Officer. He was a manufacturing executive for Sunbeam Corp, McGraw Edison, and STP Corp. After moving to Vero Beach, Bob served 12 years as the Human Resource Director at Indian River Correctional Institution. He also volunteered as the ticket taker coordinator at Riverside Theater for 11 years. He was a 36 year member of BPOE 1520/Ft. Pierce, lifetime member of Free Mason #71 in Tiffin, Ohio, a member of the Navy League and the Military Officers Association. Bob is survived by his wife, Marge Ann of 64 years, one sister Dorothy Borden of Fremont, Ohio. Daughters Barbara Campbell (Alan) of Vero Beach, Florida and Susan Veneziano (Charles) of Ozark, Alabama. Granddaughters MaryAnn Veneziano of Phenix City, Alabama, Jessica Veneziano of Ozark, Alabama, Tracy Harris (Jimmy) of Atlanta, Georgia, and one grandson Robert Campbell (Teresa) of Orlando, Florida. Great grandchildren Angelina Veneziano, Gracie Garich, Campbell Harris, and Connor Campbell. A memorial service will be held at Community Church of Vero Beach Grace Chapel, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 on Friday, August 30th at 10:00am. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to VNA Hospice of Vero Beach, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 or Community Church of Vero Beach.
