Ruth P. Andrews


Ruth P. (VanEmburgh) Andrews, 93, died Jan. 16, 2013. She was born in Riverside, N. J., and lived in Vero Beach for 14 years, coming from Tequesta. She was a member of the Riverside Eastern Star, where she was a past matron and also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, serving as queen in 1977. She did volunteer work at Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a charter member of the Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a member of Riverside Methodist Church in Riverside, the Jupiter-Tequesta Methodist Church and Vero Beach Methodist Church. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Patricia VanEmburgh of Woodbury, N.J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Andrews Jr.; and brother, William C. VanEmburgh Jr. Services: A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Multi-Purpose Room at Willowbrook Court, Indian River Estates, Vero Beach. Burial will be at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, N.J. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
