STEPHEN HARLAN SEMBLER, 43, unexpectedly passed away at his home in Richmond, VA on April 11, 2013. A 1987 VBHS graduate, he also attended IRSC and FSU, and served in the US Army. He was as accomplished on the water and in the sky as he was on the land. He excelled at operating watercraft large and small, fishing and scuba diving; he was a certified military paratrooper and in his latest professional endeavor, climbed and worked on cell towers; he was also an excellent marksman, survivalist, tradesman and chef. Stephen is survived by his daughter, Hannah Paige of Savannah, GA and Melbourne, FL, along with his father, Charles Day Sembler of Vero Beach, FL; and two brothers, Charles Sembler II (Beth) of Vero Beach and Clayton Sembler (Melanie) of Tallahassee, FL; as well as two nieces and five nephews. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Paige Harlan Sembler. In honor of Stephen's life, the family is holding a "Memorial Dock Party," on Saturday, July 27 (5-8pm) at the "new" Sembler dock and Fisherman's Landing Sebastian, located along Indian River in Sebastian.
