JOE J. WEBB Jensen Beach, Florida resident Joe J Webb passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014, at the age of 85. Following a cremation, a veteran's inurnment is planned for Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Born April 1, 1928, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Charles and Nina Webb, Joe attended Science Hill High School, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Japan. Following his military service in 1947, he began a long career in the radio and television advertising business in Waco, Texas. Joe and wife Mae E Webb retired to Jensen Beach in 1987 to live in the Tropical Acres community. In retirement he was an avid motorhome traveller. But he loved life in Jensen Beach where, as a recognized "tinkerer," he was always ready to lend a hand to help friends and neighbors. A cherished husband, father, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed. Joe is survived by daughter Cathy W Liston of Lexington, KY, and two sons Thomas W Webb of Healdsburg, CA, and Joseph C Webb of Memphis, TN; sister Erma Budd of Johnson City, TN; 4 grandchildren Jonathan Liston, Tyler Webb, Travis Webb and Nicholas Webb; 3 great-grandchildren Ransom Liston, Jude Liston and Maddox Webb; as well as numerous extended family members.
