EDMUND FRANCIS DOYLE Edmund 'Ed' Francis Doyle, 89, Kings Isle, Port Saint Lucie passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Port Saint Lucie Medical Center. Mr. Doyle was born September 27, 1924 in Irvington New Jersey and had lived in Lake Hopatcong New Jersey, Rochester New York, and Severna Park Maryland before retiring to Wellington Florida in 1984. He moved to Port Saint Lucie in 1999. Mr. Doyle graduated from Irvington High School and went on to attain a Bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked for Bell Labs, Boonton Electronics, and retired from Bausch & Lomb in 1984. Mr. Doyle was a U.S. Navy Veteran proudly serving as a Medic in the Pacific during World War II. Mr. Doyle was a parishioner of Saint Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, Port Saint Lucie. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus - a past Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, and former District Deputy. Surviving Ed is his wife, Teresa Radice Doyle, his son and daughter: Buddy Doyle, and his wife Geri, of Gardiner Maine and Mary Yoon, and her husband Russell, of Whittier California. Also surviving Mr. Doyle are his youngest brother Timothy Doyle of Boonton New Jersey, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Doyle is pre- deceased by his parents, Edmund Drew and Sarah Frances Doyle, his brother Richard Doyle, and his sister Joan Clark. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 N.W. California Blvd., Port Saint Lucie West. Entombment will follow at Forest Hills / Palm City Chapel & Memorial Park, SW Murphy Road, Palm City, Florida. While his wife only asks for a prayer to be said for Ed and his family, in lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the Saint Bernadette Building Fund.
