BERNICE "BITTY" BARTH Ms. Bernice (Bittner) "Bitty" Barth, 91 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Syracuse Home Association. Native of Syracuse, Bernice was one of 11 children born to Charles and Clara Bittner who resided at 110 Michaels Avenue, the present site of Francis House. Bernice resided in Stuart Florida for over 25 years returning to the Syracuse area in 2005. Bernice was a longtime Secretary in the Syracuse area retiring from Hutchings Psychiatric Center in 1982. After her retirement, she moved to Florida and while there worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County and at the J.D. Parker School of Science, Math and Technology. Her proudest achievement while volunteering her time was becoming a Foster Grandmother where she was simply known as "Grandma B". Communicant of Assumption Church and longtime member of the Zeta's. Survived by: One sister, Loretta Styring of Syracuse and many loving and devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:00 AM at Keegan- Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at Assumption Church at 10:30 AM. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home, 900 N. Salina Street.
