ALBERTA STAFFA Obituary

ALBERTA STAFFA, 91, of Tequesta, Florida died on August 16, 2014. She was born in Chicago in 1923. She worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Alberta married Alfred Staffa in 1946 and was married to him until his death in 1993. Alberta and her family moved to Jupiter, FL in 1956 when they purchased a property on the Palm Beach- Martin County Line which included a restaurant, motel, and Sinclair gas station. They renamed the business Staffa's County Line Restaurant. The entire family worked in the business and the restaurant was known for its freshly made foods. The business was closed in 1982 when Alberta and her husband moved to Hobe Sound, Florida to retire, but Alberta continued to work as a volunteer at the Jupiter Hospital Thrift Store and the Hobe Sound Public Library. In 2006, Alberta moved to Kansas City, Missouri where her son and daughter-in-law lived. She enjoyed the many activities there, but decided to return to Jupiter in 2014. Alberta is survived by her son Jeffrey and wife Jo-Ann, daughter Gina Marie Cantrell and husband Robert, son David; 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1993 and her daughter Sandra Arbet in 2004. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24th at 10 am, Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center.
