ALAN F. WAITKUS Alan F. Waitkus, 59, of Jensen Beach, FL. passed away September 5th, 2010 in Jensen Beach. Born in Chicago,IL he has resided on the Treasure Coast for the past 40 years, moving here from Chicago. He was a passionate photographer, avid surfer & golfer and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He originated the Morning Surf report on the Treasure Coast local radio before becoming a popular disc jockey. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Yates, of Jensen Beach; his son, Tim Yates, of Ashland, AL and his daughter, Cassie Waitkus, of Stuart, FL., (an employee of the Stuart News in the advertising dept.); his brother, Bob Waitkus, of Versailles, KY; and his absolutely adored cat Leroy Brown. SERVICES: Will be private Memorial Contributions may be made to V.F.W. Post 10132
