Betty Mae Britcher, 85, died July 24, 2012, in Fort Pierce. She was born in East Glenville, N.Y., coming to Fort Pierce in 1983 from Ticonderoga, N.Y. Before retirement, she worked at Ticonderoga Elementary as a secretary in the school library. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church and its Catholic Daughters. She was a volunteer "Pink Lady" at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Fort Pierce. Survivors include her son, Michael Britcher of Fort Pierce; sisters, Doris and Margie, both of New York, Elsie of North Carolina and Ellen of Port St. Lucie; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John T. Britcher; son, Thomas Britcher; and brother, Harold Heckler.
