Obituary

William Bernard Danahy III, 74, died Nov. 29, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce. He was born in Quincy, Mass., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 12 years, coming from Lake Worth. He was an Air Force veteran of 20 years and worked for the Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Survivors include his wife, Judy Danahy of Port St. Lucie; sons, Ricky Hewson of Fort Pierce, Jeffrey Hewson of West Palm Beach, Patrick Hewson of Altha and Steven Danahy of Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Donna Roberts of Wichita, Kan., and Robin Murray of Midwest City, Okla.; nine grandchildren: and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Hughes, in 2012, and Joan Haines. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Services: A memorial will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie with military honors. A guestbook is available at www.aycockportstlucie.com.
