Sarah Faulconer Weaver Wurzburger Age 94, died on January 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Johnstone Tevis, her father, Elijah Potter Faulconer, jr., her daughter, Margaret Weaver, her brother, Elijah Potter Faulconer III, her husbands, William "Ed" Weaver, Jr., Willard B. Trayner, and John D. Wurzburger. Sarah was born and raised in Danville, Kentucky, where she also attended Centre College. She later lived in Ft. Myers, then Vero Beach, FL, before moving to Nashville, TN five years ago, residing at the St. Paul and then the Cumberland. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah "Sallie" W. Bailey (John) of Nashville, TN, son, William "Bill" E. Weaver, III (Tracey) of Fort Myers, FL, and her sister, Shelby Tevis Morrison of Orlando FL. Her grandchildren are Shelby Bailey Wheliss, Frances Bailey Linley (David) both of Nashville, TN and Ashley E. Weaver and Will Weaver (Beth) both of Ft. Myers, FL. Her great-grandchildren and honorary pallbearers are Ryland, John Hill and Nora Wheliss, and Annie and Kate Linley, all of Nashville, TN. Sarah put family first and foremost, closely followed by her love of teaching, travel, languages, singing in the choir, and family history. Her long service teaching children English, French, Spanish, and reading, permeated all aspects of her life including her interaction with friends, family and charitable endeavors. Her continued zest for life was evidenced in her desire to learn, travel, and explore throughout her ninety-four years. She will be remembered for her constant concern for friends and strangers, her unwavering love of family, as well as the strength and dignity with which she was born, lived every day, and died.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Music Program Handbells, 3900 West End Ave., Nashville, TN 37205 or St George's Episcopal Church, Music Dept.,4715 Harding Rd. Visitation with the family will be held in the greeting space at St. George's Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Rd, Nashville, TN on Saturday, February 2 at 1 pm with a Memorial Service following in the chapel at 2 pm.
