ARTHUR LYLE ROBINET Arthur Lyle Robinet, 86, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Hospice of Palm Beach, surrounded with love by his family. Art was born on October 1, 1926 on his family farm in North Branch, Lapeer County, Michigan. He was the youngest of seven children of John B. and Veronica Kohler Robinet. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Art served in Austria during World War II. Prior to retiring to Vero Beach in 1979, Art was a home builder and designed and manufactured custom campers. But his proudest accomplishment was raising seven children who adored him endlessly; all of whom enjoy a better life than he by material standards, and who are left with an indelible sense of his humility, generous spirit and humorous approach to life. Mechanically gifted, Art was known for his ability to build or fix just about anything. A product of the Great Depression, his desire to live simply paired with his talent for making use of materials at hand resulted in innumerable inventions. While escaping the patent stage, his projects have created a legacy of awe, humor, and joyful stories that will live on. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Kraus Robinet; three sons: Bill (Marie) of Long Beach, California, Ron (Edie) of Modesto, California, and Roger (Valaine) of Vero Beach; four daughters: Diana (David) Buzinski of Harrison, Michigan, Judy (Tom) Pisello of Winter Park, Florida, and Jean Marie (Randy) Elkins and Susan Robinet of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Anna Fantene of Shelby Township, Michigan; 12 grand- children and 6 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George, Robert and Lawrence Robinet, and sisters Lena Conner and Esther Hill. Family will receive friends following a funeral Mass held at St. Helen Church in Vero Beach at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013. There will be a private military burial at a later date at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to St. Helen Tuition Assistance Fund, 2085 Tallahassee Ave., PO Box 2927, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Paid Obituary
