Lois Brower Obituary

Lois Grace Brower, 78, died June 19, 2013, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born in Stratford, Ontario, and lived in Stuart for 20 years, coming from Palm Beach County. She was active in real estate in Guelph, Ontario, and operated a breakfast/lunch restaurant in Mesa. She was co-owner of L. Brower Travel in Stuart. She worked for several years at First United Methodist Church in Stuart as assistant to the Caring Ministries director and helped in the Manna Kitchen at the church. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart, participating in the Celebration Choir and Pathfinders Sunday School. She a member of Women of the Moose, Stuart Chapter 1651 and the Social Club at Riverland Mobile Home Park in Stuart. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Rodney Brower of Stuart; sons, Lyle Laverty of Glendale, Ariz., Dean Laverty and Ian Laverty, both of Guelph, and Rob Brower of LaVergne, Tenn.; daughters, Kelley Kregle of Mesa, Stacey Roberts of Guelph, Tamra Keels of Palm Springs and Patricia Brower of Chamblee, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caring Ministries/George Bozone Memorial Fund, First United Methodist Church, 1500 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL 34994 or Broadway Boxing Inc., 59 S. MacDonald Drive, Mesa, AZ 85210. Services: A memorial service will be June 29 at Mesa Presbyterian Church Chapel in Mesa. Interment will be at the Community Cemetery in Spencerport, N.Y., at a later date.
