Karen Alisa Whitear, 50, died July 16, 2013, at VNA Hospice House. She was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach for one year, coming from Coral Springs. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Baptist Church by the Glades in Coral Springs. Survivors include her son, Andrew Marrocelli of Coral Springs; daughter, SkylaKim Emperador of Coral Springs; mother and stepfather, Esther and Charles Brulet of Vero Beach; brother, Karl D'Ambrosio of North Adams, Mass.; and sisters, Kimberly A. D'Ambrosio of Vero Beach and Candace Kovach of Flushing, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrea I. D'Ambrosio; paternal grandmother, Eleanor T. D'Ambrosio; and maternal grandparents, Magdalan A. and Charles E. Booth. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
