DENNIS LEE MURPHY, age 68 of Okeechobee, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his residence. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Organization. Dennis enjoyed motorcycles, golf, cooking and loved all of his friends very much. He was employed by Martin County Engineering for 14 years living in Port St. Lucie and moved to Okeechobee in 2005. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents George and Ann Murphy and his sister Judy Kinty. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jill Murphy of Okeechobee, and his Aaron Kinty (Emma) and their son Xavier. His remains will be interred at South Florida National Cemetery and a wake will be held at the family residence from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013.
