VIKING MITTAG DIETRICH, 75, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2014 with his wife and children by his side. Viking was born on Nov 1, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After serving his county as an aviation electronics tech in the US Navy aboard the USS Forrestal and USS Saratoga, he attended Michigan State where he met his loving wife to be and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering . He had a long and successful career holding various executive positions at both General Electric and Certain Teed. After retiring in 2001, Viking spent his time relishing in his "new life", with his family and friends playing golf, going to socials, eating , traveling and volunteering his time to organizations that were close to his heart, ( PACE, CRC, Martin Memorial Hospital, Ballantrae HOA and Elks). He was a kind and gentle man who was forever helping others in time of need. He will be truly missed by all his family, friends and anyone who had the fortunate opportunity to have met and spent time with such an incredible and spirited man. Viking is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki Lee Dietrich, his son Viking Stanley Dietrich, his daughter Kendra Lee Bromagen, and his grandchildren: Chandler Elise Dietrich, McKenzie Lee Dietrich and Brody Cole Bromagen. A Celebration of Viking's remarkable life, will be held Saturday Feb, 22, 2014 at 11am in the St Mary Episcopal Church 623 SE Ocean Blvd Stuart, FL 34994
