Snipes, Eunice - St Paris  
TROY — Eunice Snipes, age 95, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Koester Pavilion, Troy. Born on July 21, 1919 in Johnson County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Virgie (Rivers) Hannah. She married Archie E. Snipes on September 2, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Together they raised five children, all of whom survive. Daughter Elwanda Sue (Jim) Spillers of Sidney and four sons: Leroy (Evelyn) Snipes of Christiansburg; James (Cindy) Snipes of Troy; Paul (Robin) Snipes of New Carlisle; and Doug (Donna) Snipes of Troy. She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Jeff (Mari) Snipes, Debbie (Gary) Boyd, Jody (Rich) Spears, David (Cindy) Snipes, Bryan (Shannon) Snipes, Joel Hale, Jon (Lori) Allen, Kevin (Julie) Snipes, Stephanie (Jeff) Marshall and Andrew Snipes. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Eunice was very artistic and she enjoyed crocheting afghans, and drawing pictures of birds, butterflies and flowers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with Miami County Hospice Chaplain John Shelton presiding. Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County. P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio. COVINGTON — Evelyn M. "Boots" Speer, age 85, of Covington, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born December 30, 1929 in Covington to the late Noah & Esther (Kleinschmidt) Monnier; a graduate of Covington High School & Class of 1947 treasurer; worked as a proof-reader at the Piqua Daily Call & Arens Publications, Covington, & as a secretary at Miami County Residential; an active member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Covington. Boots loved to fish, play bridge & euchre, was an avid Words With Friends player, & her family was her life. Preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald (Elizabeth) Monnier; & son-in-law, Tom Mix. Boots is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, John Speer; daughter, Rita Mix of Atlanta, GA; 2 sons, Alan (Amy) Speer of Pleasant Hill, & Joe (Marty) Speer of Covington; 3 grandsons, Tim (Nicci) Speer of Toledo, Eric (Erin) Speer of Pickerington, & Jared Speer (Amber Drees) of Sidney; 2 great grandsons, Alexander & Zachary Speer; sister, Dolores Collins of Troy; & other relatives & many friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Covington with Father Ron Haft celebrating, preceded by Prayers at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington. Stickley, Suzanne D. - St. Paris  
ST. PARIS — Suzanne D. Stickley passed into our Lord's loving hands Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was born on Dec. 30, 1937, in Senecaville, Ohio, to the late Richard and Edith Davidson Hinten. She graduated from Senecaville High School and worked as a payroll clerk at Universal Potteries in Cambridge, Ohio. Suzanne also worked as a child caregiver for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Stickley, in 2001 after 42 years of marriage. Suzanne was a 4-H advisor for 20 years and loved sewing, cooking, and going to children's and grandchildren's sporting and musical activities. Her home was a wonderful gathering place for many children, family and friends with an abundance of love, fellowship and good food. She is survived by a brother, Richard J. Hinten of Florida; uncle, Donald (Marcie) Hinten of Florida; brother-in-law Paul Dean (Sharon) Stickley of North Carolina; and three children, Beth Ann (Greg) Fogelsong of Plain City, Ohio, Jennifer (John) Bloomquist of Helena, Mont., and James Stickley II (Lori) of St. Paris, Ohio. Grandchildren include Robert Fogelsong, Allison Fogelsong, James Stickley III, Audrey Bloomquist, Samuel Stickley, and Caswell Bloomquist. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Suzanne was a member of Westville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. at the Westville United Methodist Church followed by a private service at the Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the Westville United Methodist Church (96 N. State Route 560, Urbana, OH 43078) or Helena Education Foundation (P.O.
