Anne Marie Dilworth Kirk

SPRINGFIELD — Anne Marie Dilworth Kirk, age 51, of Springfield and formerly of Troy, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 9:44 a.m. at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

Anne was born on March 24, 1963 at Dettmer Hospital of Troy, Ohio.

Anne is survived by an Aunt, Julia Dilworth of Piqua; her sister, Mary and David Zirkle of Troy; her five brothers, John F. Dilworth of Richland, MI, Steve and Pam Dilworth of Troy, Thomas Dilworth of Zephyr Hills, FL, Michael Dilworth of Troy, Phillip Dilworth of Sidney; as well as many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Flora Rose (Brandenburg) Allen Dilworth; as well as one brother, Joseph Dennis Dilworth.

Anne attended St. Patrick's Elementary School in Troy, Troy Junior High, and Troy High School. Anne's Junior High School activities included; Tennis, and the Girls Ensemble. In High School, Anne was involved in basketball, golf, and the senior choir. Other personal activities included the Blue Birds, the Girl Scouts, and being a Troy Daily Newspaper Carrier. After graduation from Troy High School in 1981, Anne attended the Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio, an Extention Branch of The Ohio State University. There she obtained an Associates Degree in Turfgrass Management Technology.

Anne's employment included; The Miami Shores Golf course, The Troy Country Club, and the Hidden Lakes Golf Course in Tipp City. Anne also worked for Crown Chevrolet in Troy, Hopkins Chevrolet in New Carlisle, and Jim Foreman – Buick, Cadillac, GMC of Springfield for 21 years. Some of Anne's activities in her adulthood include; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Springfield, a participant in the Relay for Life Charity. Anne also enjoyed bowling and golf. Anne was a six time winner of the City of Troy Women's Golf Championship. Anne won four straight titles from 1980 to 1984. Anne Dilworth Kirk was the youngest of eight children. In her life, Anne made many friends, and she will be greatly missed by everyone she knew, as well as by her family.

A Memorial Service will take place at the Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, 1124 W. Main St., Troy, Ohio, on Sunday May 18, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with Father Thomas Bolte officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, Ohio on Monday May 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
