SPRINGFIELD - Barbara Ann Overcash, 83, of Springfield and formerly of Christiansburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Forest Glen, Springfield.
She was born March 13, 1930, in Bradford, Ohio. Barbara was a daughter of the late Elmer and Susie B. (Warner) Detrick.
She married Harold Overcash on June 26, 1948; and he survives in Springfield.
Together they raised three children, Brenda (Mark) Simpson of Springfield, Cynthia (Steve) Adams of Springfield and Dennis (Teresa) Overcash of Broken Arrow, Okla.
She was a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a sister, Bettie Sharits of Nashville, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a several brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy and was a school cook for many years.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, with the Rev. Doug Christian of the First Baptist Church, Troy, presiding.
Burial will follow in Honeycreek Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be
held prior to the funeral service from 10-11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
