SIDNEY — Lucille Ferguson, 90, of 503 Sycamore Ave., passed away at 3:35 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on June 21, 1923, in Smithtown, Ky., the daughter of the late Leslie and Myrta (New) Hughes. On May 1, 1942, she was married to William Haze Ferguson, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1972.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Donna June (John) Warner of Georgia; two daughters-in-law, Kathleen and Darlene Ferguson, both of Sidney, 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Walden Hughes, of Summerfield, Fla., Alvis Hughes, of Piqua, and Fay (Denny) Lambdin, of Sidney.
She was preceded in death by children, Shelbie Napier, William A. "Butch" Ferguson, Michael W. Ferguson, Roy Lee Ferguson and twin boys, who were stillborn, siblings, Arnold, Euelonas "Shorty"and Estel Hughes and Eileen Blevins, grandson, Jeffery B. Warner, one great-grandchild, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Pastor Shane Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
