SIDNEY - Scott Kenneth Arnold, 58, of 1314 Westwood Drive, Sidney, passed away at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Feb. 20, 1954, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Arnold and Clara (Wolfe) Arnold-Wingfield, who survives in Sidney.
On Nov. 30, 1974, he was married to Chris (Frantz), who survives him along with their four children, Jason Arnold and wife Sherry of Sidney, Andy Arnold and wife Julie of Indianapolis, Ind., Joe Arnold and wife Julie of Sidney and Emily Burnside and husband Dominic of Piqua; 12 grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Cameron, Peyton, Brennan, Ian and Landyn Arnold of Sidney, Hailey and Evan Arnold of Indianapolis, Ind., Lucy Arnold of Sidney, and Hannah and Hudson Burnside of Piqua; two sisters, Shelia Nuss and husband Bill, Sherry Scully and husband Mike, both of Sidney; and one brother, Steve Arnold and wife Joyce of Sidney.
Scott was a dedicated husband, a proud dad and a loving grandfather.
He was born and raised in Sidney, Ohio, where he resided with his wife of 38 years.
Scott and Chris met while attending Holy Angels Grade School, and spent many years sharing their love of big band music.
While in high school the couple performed in a dance band together. Scott continued his love of music and sharing his talent of playing the trombone by marching with the Lehman Alumni Marching Band.
Always teaching his children by example, Scott instilled a strong work ethic in his children through years of hard work with Frantz Brothers Inc. working in construction, Wappoo Wood Products Inc. in lumber sales, and especially during his time as a business owner of A & M Industrial Wood Products LLC.
Scott treasured time with his family, wanting nothing more than to spend time with his four kids and twelve grandchildren having a cookout, playing in the yard, and sitting by a bonfire. When not spending time with family, you would likely find Scott on the golf course with friends, or perhaps on the strip in Las Vegas where he frequently visited with Chris and friends. If you had the opportunity to meet Scott you would know that he never met a stranger, and was never in too much of a hurry to ask about your family. He will truly be missed, and his memory will live on through the memories of the life he lead that will serve as an example to all that he met.
