Age 90, of Laura, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 7, 2014, at Upper Valley Medical Center.
She was born August 7, 1923, and on October 9, 1943, she married T.R. McClintock.
Jenny worked as a dedicated employee for many hardware stores in the area: Tibbitts Plumbing & Heating, Dayton for 20yrs, Vandalia Hardware for 16 years , Vandalia ACE Hardware for 8 years, Tipp City ACE Hardware of 18 years, and she worked at North Dixie Hardware up to the age of 88. She was an active member of the Laura Christian Church for 48 years where she played the piano, helped with the Ladies Aide, and served many years as a deaconess and church secretary. She was also an active volunteer in the neonatal care unit at Dayton Children's Hospital. Jenny dedicated her life to serving numerous community service organizations. She will be missed and remembered by her daughters Dottie McClelland of Fairborn, Peggy McClintock of Huber Heights; step daughter Sylvia (Dallas).
Justice of Greenville; grandchildren Julie Hampton of Georgia, Jennifer (Michael) Godsey of Troy, Josh (fiancé Sarah Allen) McClintock of Huber Heights; step grandchildren Darryl Justice, Larry Justice, Mike Justice; great grandchildren Brandyn Hampton, Cameron Godsey, Sydney Hampton, Taylor Godsey, Teagan McClintock, Kaleb Mazak, Jaxxson McClintock; brother Chris (Beverly) Thaxton of Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Dan McClintock; sister Dot Aitken.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 11, at Laura Christian Church, 1 S. Main Street, Laura. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton.
