Mr. Carroll was the best math teacher that I ever had. I had him for Algebra I, II, and Geometry. I don't think I would have made it through high school math without him. He was also my cross country coach and chess team coach, although I didn't have much talent for him him to work with. I remember him as an excellent teacher who treated his students with respect, which we gladly returned to him. I've only recently run into him several times at Kroger, where I would talk with him briefly. I'm very saddened to learn of his death. He was an important part of my youth and he will be sorely missed.
