Garber, Carl H., age 94 of Englewood, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Spring Meade Health Center in Tipp City.
He had retired from Hobart Brothers in Troy and was a member of the Salem Old German Baptist Church, New Conference.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years: June (Deeter) Garber, sons: Timothy (Brenda) Garber of Brookville, Steve (Betty) Garber of Rocky Mount, VA, daughters: Chris Garber of Tipp City, Bonnie Garber of West Milton, Jennifer Garber of Englewood, Laura Garber of Englewood, foster daughter: Linda Wells of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren: Benjamin, Bethany, Jonathan and Sarah Garber, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and S. Ella (Mohler) Garber, brother and sister-in-law: Earl and Mary Garber and sisters: Elizabeth Garber (infant) and Harriet Flora. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Dayton and Spring Meade Health Center for the loving care given to Carl, especially Jackie and Matt.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Salem Old German Baptist Brethren Church (Corner of Barnes Rd. and Sweet Potato Ridge Rd., Clayton) with The Salem Brethren officiating. Interment will follow the service at Warner Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
