PIQUA - David A. Gerlach, 48, of Piqua, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday July 8, 2013, at his residence.
He was born April 5, 1965, in Piqua, to Donald L. and Carol A. (Hemminger) Gerlach of Piqua.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Stephanie J. (Cole) Gerlach; a son, Kyle Gerlach of San Angelo, Texas; a daughter, Abby Gerlach of Piqua; a step son, Cody Lee of Piqua; a sister, Deborah (Ron) Kiser of Piqua; a brother,Steve (Linette) Gerlach of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gerlach was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and was employed at the Upper Valley Career Center in its Maintenance Department.
He was a United States Marine veteran.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and coached Little League football and baseball teams.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday July 12, 2013, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Duncan officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad immediately following the service. His family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
