PIQUA - Miriam I. Simon, 84, of Piqua, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Shelby County, to the late Ivan A. and Viola (Apple) Brown.
She married Thomas E. Simon on June 17, 1950, in Covington; and he survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Melvin (Ruth) Brown of Tipp City; a sister, Ruth (Ivan) Wick of Springhill, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Simon graduated Piqua Central High School in 1946.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at the former Atlas/Superior Underwear Company and Montgomery Ward Store in Piqua.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and attended Atonement Lutheran Church of Wesley Chapel, Fla., for 14 winters.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Shreffler officiating.
Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
