TIPP CITY - Robert "Bob" A. Knoth, 78, of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Upper Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born July 13, 1934, in Mercer County, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Nellie (Boise) Knoth.
Also preceding him in death are a brother, Roger; and sisters, Donna, Jeanette and Arlene.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Flo Buell Knoth; son, Hank and his wife Christena Wilder of Troy; and daughter, Carolyn and her husband Leo Wagner of Beavercreek; brothers, Norman Knoth of Beavercreek, Joe and his wife Delores Knoth of Dayton; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Bob was a graduate of Chaminade Julienne High School.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War.
He had been a delivery driver for ARA Vending in Dayton and had worked at Valley Nursing Home in St. Mary's.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 586, Eagles Lodge No. 2201 and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, all in Tipp City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, with Father R. Marc Sherlock as celebrant. Burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation one will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.
