BROOKVILLE - Wallace Moore Lewis, 87, of Villas of Brookhaven, Brookville, Ohio, has gone to be with the Lord on Nov. 2, 2012.
Leaving to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 65 years, Vesta Arizona Lewis; daughter, Carolyn (John) Hodge of Brookville; son, David Lewis of Angola, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jody (Michelle) Hodge, Tia (Dan) O'Brien and David Lewis Jr.; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lexie, Erin, Tristen, Emily, Aidan, Zach and Rylee; sister, Betty King of Knoxville, Tenn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Lewis; and sister, Reba Allred.
He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Heiskell, Tenn., the son of the late Eva and Arthur Lewis.
Wallace was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer, USS The Sullivans.
He retired from DP&L.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, with visitation one hour prior in the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, with the Rev. Phil Marxson officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
