TROY — Thomas E. Yount, 60, of Troy, passed away April 8, 2014. He was born Nov. 6, 1953, to Bonnie (Trent) Smith and the late Keith Yount.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sharon (Stephenson) Yount; daughter, Leah Yount; son, Matthew Yount (Tressa); daughter, Kristen Wilson (Kraig). Also survived by brother-in-law, Lee Stephenson (Susan); sisters, Cheri Knife, Louanna Graham (Skip); and Jennifer Black. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by the joys of his life grandsons Kolton, Kameron and granddaughter, Kylie Wilson. He will be resting in eternal peace with his beloved pug, Kassie Lynn.
Predeceased by his father Keith Yount; brother Christopher Yount and niece Amy Parsons.
Tom enjoyed many things in life. For many years, he was a youth league football coach in Troy. He enjoyed golfing with the guys. One of his greatest joys was fishing with his grandsons. He was an accomplished musician on the piano and guitar. Music was always a pleasure to him. Most of his working life he was a machine maintenance electrician. He graduated Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City in 1972.
His family wishes to thank Miami Valley Hospital for taking such good care of him in his final days. Per his request, he will be cremated with no service. Bradford-Connelly & Glickler Funeral Home of Dayton will be in charge of final arrangements. If desired, memorial donations may to made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Tom will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
