ENGLEWOOD — J.C.Taylor, age 86, of Englewood, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. J.C. retired from NCR with more than 38 years of service and was a member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge and a proud Kentucky Colonel.
J.C. coached for many years at North Riverdale Little League and loved to play bingo and the lottery.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: E.J. and Barbara Taylor of Troy, grandson: Jet Taylor of SC, sisters-in-law: Bobbie Swango of TN, Bennie (A.C.) Smith of Englewood, nephews: Larry Piercy, James Franklin Burns, Tom Swango, Jeff Smith, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jessie B. (Burns) Taylor, mother, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Bob Thornton officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. until time of services. Entombment will be held privately at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum.
