TIPP CITY — Eileen L. Studebaker, 93, formerly of Tipp City, Ohio, our beloved "Mimi" passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 in London, Ohio.

She was born December 16, 1920 in Elizabeth Township, Miami County, Ohio the daughter of the late Elbert & Flossie (Baker) Leapley.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Studebaker; two daughters, Amber Studebaker & Anne Hunter; and a sister, Doris Kouse.

Eileen lived most of her life in Miami County. She married, James "Jim" Studebaker, Nov. 25, 1942 & lived 66 years on the family farm.

Eileen graduated from Elizabeth School & Ohio Western Business College (Springfield) and worked many years as a secretary.

She played the piano at West Charleston Church of the Brethren and was a very active member of the Women's Fellowship. Eileen & Jim were members of the Tri State Carriage Club, Miami County Farm Bureau, the West Charleston Church of the Brethren, and the Studebaker National Family Association. Eileen loved children, especially anyone under 3 feet tall. She enjoyed the family stopping in or honking as they drove by on St. Rt. 202.

Eileen touched many lives by her gentle kindness, extensive correspondence and beautiful smile. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children; Pam (Debbie Switzer) Studebaker, Neil (Helen) Studebaker; sisters, Miriam Gundolf, Naomi Dick & Erdine Leapley; in-laws, Geneva Slanker and Leonard Kouse; twelve grandchildren, Robert Gostomsky, Jill Erisman, Beau Gostomsky, Robert "Bob" Erisman, Mitch Gostomsky, Elizabeth Scovic, Elliot Hunter, Matt Gostomsky, Laura Studebaker, Lucas Hunter, Benjamin Hunter, Joseph Studebaker; two great granddaughters raised as her own, Tamme DeVer & Ana Austin; seventeen other great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; special friends, Oscar & Gerda Rebmann of Germany, Regina Rebmann of Uruguay; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home,New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be at Studebaker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Charleston Church of the Brethren, 4817 St. Rt. 202, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
