TROY — Wilma A. Petty, age 87, of Troy, OH passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born on May 13, 1927 in Piqua, OH to the late Elmer S. and Pearl F. (Peters) Rose.
She was married to Robert F. Petty on April 18, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Wilma is survived by her daughter: Barbara A. Petty-Cole of Troy; granddaughter: Amber LeAnne Petty of Bellefontaine; great-granddaughter: Willow Petty; adopted daughter: Janice S. Wheeler of Piqua; adopted grandchildren: Patrick (Paula) Craft of Houston; Michele (Jason) Craft-Moore of Tipp City; and Greg (Tiffany) Craft of Sidney and adopted great-grandchildren: Kasen Craft; Ethan and Madeline Moore; Baylee and Addyson Craft.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Bob" Lee Petty in 2010; infant grandchild; Sisters: Elsie Cissner and Ethel Moreland and brothers: Herbert Rose and Herman Rose.
Wilma was a 1945 graduate of Staunton High School. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed with Brown-Bridge and Hobart Brothers and she retired in 1982.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Riverside Cemetery chapel, Troy, OH with Rev. Gary K. Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery chapel. Interment will follow the service in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
Memorial contributions may be made in Wilma's name to Riverside of Miami County, 1625 N. Troy-Sidney Road, Troy, OH 45373.
