Eddie, Joyce, Ritchie & Lisa - It's been too long yet the absence feels like yesterday and the pain of loss is deep and profound. I was treated for many years like the 5th Kazarian child, both Ky and Liz were father and mother to me. In fact I felt like the 1st child. They were loving and giving without boundaries and and their home was a happy sanctuary that welcomed all; food from the garden proudly harvested and presented to everyone under the watchful eye of Liz's mother and the content smile of Ky. Ky was accepting in his own quiet way steering clear of controversial issues but always wise and grounded in his views. You also needed to have thick skin to survive the teasing and the clear eyes to see the tavloo board through the smoke from his pipe and laughter. Oh that laughter. Happy times. I've been in California for 17 years and I regret not being closer but he is alive through me and the memories are vivid and the feelings strong as they will be for the rest of my life. Perhaps the greatest testimonial, Ky and Liz taught me lessons that live on through me and how I raise my two little girls. I love you and miss you. God rest your soul.

Dearest Kazarian Family,
Hoping that cherished memories will help in the healing process. Here are a few of mine, thanks to Ky. I always loved watching him gingerly tending the garden he was so proud of. I loved hearing him whack the golf balls he was so good at. I had the privileage of tasting the crops he harvested and so lovingly shared. I will truly miss the smell of the pipe he so thoroughly enjoyed. However, I am so thankful that my family and I had the fortune of meeting him, because he surely touched our hearts.
All our love,

The memories keep coming one right after the other, since we were kids and when my dad used to bring us up to the "farm" on Wheeler Road and all the fun we had. I remember, chipping into the peach baskets, playing cards, tavloo and anything else that involved competiton to fuel the rivalry. The stories that came from their early days and while we grew up together, the golf trip stories, , the canoe race story your dad told and could never be told the same by anyone. As much as you miss your dad, I miss mine and times they all had. They established the traditions that continue on today. This truly marks the end of an era and I will miss it. It won't be the same, but their legacy will continue on through us.

Growing up on Meadow Lane in the 1950's, I knew Ky as a fine friend and mentor being 12 years senior to me. Having lived 1,000 miles away since 1960, I have often thought of Ky and those days of yesteryear that speaks to the lasting impression he left me with. He was a fine fella and will be missed by many.
