Belden, Norma - Shrewsbury  
Norma A. Belden, 89 Shrewsbury - Norma A. (Persson) Belden died unexpectedly on February 6, 2015 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, with her family by her side. She was 89. Born October 12, 1926 in Boston she was one of two children of the late Per J. & Anna V. (Fasth) Persson. Raised in East Boston she attended East Boston High School. After her mother's early death when Norma was only 15, she stayed at home to help her father and brother. She married her first husband, Carl W. Hanson in 1956, and they called Dedham home until his passing at 41 in 1969. It was her love of dancing that led her to go to a dance at the Viking Club in Braintree where she would meet Robert D. Belden. They would marry on April 24, 1976 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Dedham and then move to Shrewsbury, her new home. Norma was most proud of her Swedish heritage. She was a member of the Viking Club in Braintree since 1965, Vasa Order for over fifty years, Nordic Lodge of Worcester and Sovittaja Park in Rutland, where she was very active in the kitchen. Norma and Robert enjoyed Scandinavian dancing, traveling, especially to Sweden to visit friends and relatives where she could converse in Swedish and enjoy accordion concerts. Some of her fondest memories were of dancing the Hambo at SAC Park to Nils Lundin's orchestra. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Per Henry Persson. She leaves her husband, Robert; her children Carl W. Hanson Jr. of Shrewsbury; Karlyn M. Janson and her husband Neil of Warwick, R.I.; two grandchildren, Ross & Eric Janson; two great grandchildren Eric D. Moniz and Brady Janson, to whom she was known as Mormor; sister-in-law, Eleanor Persson of Dedham; nephew John Persson and his family of Foxborough; many other relatives both here and in Sweden, and friends everywhere. Family and friends will honor and remember Norma's life by gathering for calling hours at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors - The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center on Wednesday, February 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday where her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with a collation at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston. Bennett, Lawrence - Berlin  
Lawrence T. Bennett, 67 Berlin - Lawrence T. "Larry" Bennett, 67, died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after being stricken ill. He is survived by his loving wife Robin (Kosewski) Bennett; three children, Jessica Gooch Bennett & companion Sean Lang of Albuquerque, NM; Aaron Bennett of Berlin; and Brooke Henderson & husband David of Boylston. He leaves his grandchildren, Victoria Sarracino, Logan Lang, Connor, Colin, and Sophia Henderson; siblings and their spouses, Barbara Mecum & Bart of Boylston, Linda Michalak, wife of the late James Michalak of Lancaster, Susan Nolan & James of Clinton, Robert Bennett & Debi of Tampa, FL, Holly Miller & Edd of Pikeville, TN, and Dianne Bennett of Clinton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother Bruce Bennett. Larry was born in Clinton to the late Lawrence J. & Helen (Johnstone) Bennett. He graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1967 and enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the United States Navy. He returned home safely and worked for ITT Surprenant in Clinton before his long time career in construction. Larry was a master woodcarver, talented carpenter and handyman. He was an avid fisherman and dedicated fan of the Patriots and Red Sox. He devoted himself to his family and was happiest in the company of his wife, children, and grandchildren. Calling hours will be held from 4 until 7PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A Funeral Service will later be held privately. Benson, Jeannine - Worcester  
Jeannine C. Benson, 86 Worcester - Jeannine C. (Gaucher) Benson, 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 61 years, R. Henry "Hank" Benson; son, Dana Benson; daughter, Karen Stake; 2 grandchildren, Jillian and Nichole Benson; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Phyllis Gaucher of West Boylston; brother- and sister-in-law, R. Leonard "Lenny" and Ruth Benson also of West Boylston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Mark Henry Robert Benson, as well as 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Jeannine was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Marguerite (Roberts) and Valmore Gaucher. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked for many years as the Executive Secretary to the President of Norton Company. During her retirement, she worked as a cashier at the West Boylston Wal-Mart. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary and enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing bingo. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, from 3-5 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary 25 Fales St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Benson, Ruth - Worcester  
Ruth V. (Landgren) Benson, 93 WORCESTER - Ruth Virginia (Landgren) Benson, 93, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 3rd. Her beloved husband, William R. Benson, Sr. passed away in 1999. Ruth leaves her two children, William R. Benson, Jr and his partner Andrea Burgantine of Worcester and Karen Gustafson and her husband Bruce of Millbury; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Wyman, son, Kenneth Benson and sister, Alice Cournoyer. Ruth was born in Worcester a daughter of Eric J. and Edith T. (Wadelius) Landgren. She graduated from Commerce High School. Ruth worked for many years at Thom McAn Shoes before retiring. She was a longtime member of The First Congregational Church in Auburn. Ruth was a quiet person who was very dedicated to her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held privately on Saturday, February 6th. Donald G. Bouthiller, 73 Lake Worth, FL - Donald G. Bouthiller, 73, of Lake Worth, FL formerly of Spencer Mass. died unexpectedly on January 6th in his home. Mr. Bouthiller leaves behind a son; a daughter, Adrianne Bouthiller of West Boylston; a sister, Diane M. O'Connor and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury; 1 grandchild; 2 great grandchildren and a niece, Dorrina Russell. Don was born in Worcester, son of the late George and Simone (Parenteau) Bouthiller and lived in the Worcester and Spencer area for his entire life before moving to Florida 10 years ago. Breault, Robert - Boylston  
Robert Paul Breault, 68 Boylston/Trafford, PA - Robert Paul Breault (August 7th, 1947–January 10th, 2016), 68, of Trafford PA, originally from Boylston, MA, passed away in the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on January 10, 2016. He succumbed to heart disease and the long term effects of agent orange. Bobby served honorably as a staff sergeant in the US Air Force, which included a tour in Vietnam before his discharge in 1970. He was employed by Radio Shack as a store, district, and regional manager for thirty years before retirement. Bobby leaves his wife of 38 years, Christine (Clelland) Breault. He leaves two daughters, Christine H. Breault of Kansas City, KS and Jennifer R. Breault and her partner, Michael Armstrong of North Huntington, PA. He also leaves a son, Nicholas and his wife, Kyra, of Manor, PA and four grandchildren. He was the son of J. Donald and Pauline M. (Chabot) Breault of Boylston, MA. Bobby also leaves three sisters, Martina DiTullio of Clinton, MA, Denyse, wife of Robert Curtis of Trabuco Canyon, CA and Donna Leonard of North Oxford, MA and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service, with military honors was held January 15, 2016 at the Dobrinick Funeral Home in Trafford, PA.

Arlene L. (Matthess) Brigham, 91 WORCESTER - Arlene L. (Matthess) Brigham, 91, formerly of Ludlow Street, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Willows of Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Brigham in 1992. Arlene is survived by her brother, Walter Matthess of Lawrenceburg, TN and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by six brothers, Hilton, Lawrence, Maynard, Kenneth, Jr, Charles and Lemoine Matthess. She was born in Muscatine, Iowa, daughter of the late Kenneth L. Matthess, Sr. and Lurla M. (Whalen) Matthess. Arlene worked at Chess King for many years before retiring. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and in earlier years bowling and gardening. Arlene was also a true fan of her beloved Red Sox. A Graveside Service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, February 3rd at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Celebration of Life will follow at The Willows, 101 Barry Road, Worcester from 2-3 pm.
