Roman "Ray" Browchuk, 86
WORCESTER / LANCASTER - Roman "Ray" Browchuk, 86, of 96 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, died Friday, February 15, 2013, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Ruth O. (Card) Browchuk; a son, Brett Browchuk, and his wife, Jacqueline, and grandchildren Elisee and Ian, of Avon, CT; a sister, Ann Gard, and a brother-in-law, Elliott Card.
Ray was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of Stephen and Alexandra (Lysa) Browchuk, and raised in Clinton. A graduate of Clinton High School, and Bryant School, Boston, he served with distinction in the US Army, during both WWII
and the Korean War
After their marriage, Ray and Ruth settled in Lancaster, where they remained for more than 50 years, before joining the Briarwood community in 2007.
For more than 35 years, Ray worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Norton Co. of Worcester, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Clinton, the Clinton Turn Verein, and the Retired Men's Club of Greendale. In addition, he was a member of the Masons for 60 years. He enjoyed playing baseball, golf, and doing yard work.
