Robert Kenevan Obituary

Robert J. Kenevan, Sr., M.D.

Tacoma, Washington - Dr. Robert J. Kenevan, Sr. of Tacoma, Washington died on Saturday, August 22, 2015. He is the son of Dr. Matthew A. and Mary G. Toth of Auburn, MA. Bob leaves his wife, Flavia, their children, Marcela and her children, Micah and Kaia Johnson of Gig Harbor, WA; Robert and his wife Natalia and their children Carli and Joshua of Bucaramanga, Colombia, S.A; and Cata of Portland, OR. Bob also leaves his brothers Matthew "Chip" and his wife Lia and their children Stephanie and Matthew; Kevin, his wife Martha and their children Andrew and Rachel; his sister Molly, her husband Raymond Taylor and their children Luke and Mary Beth.

Bob graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1970. He was an Army Ranger and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. He was Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery. He served as a surgeon in the military until 1989 when he opened his own practice in Tacoma, WA. Bob loved practicing medicine, the constant challenges energized him and provided his patients with a caring and competent companion in their medical journey. He was an enthusiastic teacher of things medical and in living a productive life.

Bob never failed to give credit for who he was to Flavia, the love of his life. His family was all-important and always a motivation for what he did. His grandchildren were the special joy of the last 12 years.

A Memorial Service will be held in Tacoma, Washington.
