Jane R. Baker

Jane R. (Russ) Jennings Baker, 67, of 88 Masonic Home Rd., died Friday April 29, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after an illness. She leaves her husband of 7 years, Richard F. Baker; her son, Jonathan E. Jennings and his wife Sarah of Newington, Ct.; her daughter, Jennifer R. Jennings of Cromwell, Ct.; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Jennings of Newington; 2 step sons, Michael R. Baker and his wife Jessica of Hooksett, N.H., and Jeffrey R. Baker and his wife Stacey of Goffstown, N.H., and a step grandson, Jack Baker. She is predeceased by her first husband, Jonathan E. Jennings in 1988.

She was born in Silver Springs, Md., the daughter of Dante and Grace Russ. She graduated from Newton High School and the Boston Children's Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked at Beechwood Manor Nursing Home in Waterford, Ct., retiring in 2004.

Along with her husband, they enjoyed travelling, including spending time at their summer home in Southern Oregon.

Calling hours for Jane will be held on Monday, May 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Service at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of the visitation in the Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be private for the family in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Overlook Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, Ma. 01507.
