Daniel T. Rajecki Sr. 62

HULL - Mr. Daniel T. Rajecki Sr., 62, passed away Tuesday March 4th at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Daniel was born on April 6, 1951 in Worcester a son of the late Alex and Nellie Rajecki.

He was a graduate of St Mary's High School. He worked as a D.J., and operated many small business for several years. For the past twenty years, Daniel was the Health Inspector for the town of Gardner.

His hobbies included buying and selling goods from flee markets and taking long rides on his Harley Davidson.

Daniel leaves behind, three daughters, Melissa Higbie and her husband Josh of Worcester, Sarah Rajecki and Jennifer Rajecki both of Southbridge; and a son, Daniel Jason-Rajecki Jr. and his wife Lindy of Southbridge; also four grandchildren.

His funeral will take place on Friday March 7th at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St Worcester. Calling hours will be Friday morning at the funeral home from 10:00am to noon. A prayer service will begin at noon at the Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Remembering starting out our summers on Memorial Day weekend at Big Dan´s parents (Alex & Nellies) Boarding House at Nantasket Beach. Head straight down the main drag and take a left onto Whitehead Ave #10, then turn right into the first driveway. Those were the grandest days of my youth. I am very sorry to hear about this sad news. Dan was more than fun, he was the man. He loved to party and had a great heart too. I remember going to the " Combat Zone " with him back in the late sixties and seventies. He loved that place so much. The raw fun, the long hard laughs will always be cherished. To deepest heartfelt sympathies to all Big Dan's children. I've known BIG Dan since i was 15 years old and used to hide in his food spa at Rice Square when i would skip school. Dan and I would become close friends for the many years to come. We had so many great times at his parents house at Nantasket Beach. Those memories are the ones i will hold dear for the rest of my days. I'll never forget when we were playing darts at his antique shop on Green Street and i missed the board and the dart landed in his calf muscle and he had to go to the hospital. Or better yet when i accedently backed into his orange Corvette convertable when he screamed "Oh No!! Not my Vette!!" I am sorry that Dan & i have not gotten together over the years but thats they way life goes sometimes. Big Dan, say hi to cousin Sammy for me and i'll sure i'll be seeing you again soon enough. I'm sure your spirit will soar to the heavens above because you never did a mean thing in your life. May God Rest Your Soul. Your friend always & forever Freddie Potenti.
