Carol E. (Belisle) Ladner, 67

Holden/Hyannis Port - Carol E. (Belisle) Ladner, 67, formerly of Holden, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 after a courageous battle with vascular disease. Carol was born and raised in Holden, the daughter of Alexander J. and June E. (Erickson) Belisle and lived the last 29 years in Hyannis Port.

She leaves her beloved husband of 48 years, R. Brian Ladner; her son, Thomas J. Ladner and his wife, Monique of Hyannis; two daughters, Janice A. Ladner-Fitzgerald of Hyannis and Christine E. Ladner of Ft. Myers, Florida; her mother, June E. Belisle of Rutland; two brothers, Alexander J. Belisle, Jr. of Hubbardston and Robert S. Belisle of Rutland; a sister, Holly J. Desroches and her husband, Douglas of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren, Damien Ladner, Dylan, Dustin and Drew Fitzgerald, and Hope Ladner; and several nephews and nieces.

Carol was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and attended cosmetology school. She was a hairdresser for several years and later became a travel agent and worked for over 10 years for American Express in Centerville. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and a former member of St. George Church in Worcester. Carol loved living on the cape with her family and enjoyed playing golf at The Ridge Club in Sandwich where she and her husband were members. She spent the last ten years wintering with Brian at their home in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was an amazing women who taught her children to be kind and loving. She was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and friend and loved everything about being a mom. She worked hard, never complained, and was always there if you needed her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol's family from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, February 15, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, February 16, at St. George Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Vascular Research & Education Fund, c/o Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02116.
