Grafton - Jacqueline M. Glispin, 83, passed peacefully ay home in the love and care of her family after a recent illness. Her husband of 55 years, John W. "Jack" Glispin passed in 2010. She leaves three children, Kathleen Milosz and her husband Donald of North Grafton, Karen Walsh and her husband Gary of Shrewsbury, Arthur J. Glispin and his wife Rae Lynn of Oxford; one sister, Ruth Hillary Wallace of Holden; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John W."Jay" Glispin Jr. in 2003, two sisters, Rosalie Hodgerny and Loretta Sidney. Mrs. Glispin was born February 14, 1930 in Grafton the daughter of the late James A. and Eleanor H. (McQuiggan) Fleming and was a lifelong resident of North Grafton. Jackie was a graduate of St. Stephen's High School and Salter Secretarial School both in Worcester. She worked many years at her family's business Fleming's Market on Waterville St. in North Grafton. Jackie was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of The Engine Co. 2 Ladies Auxiliary in North Grafton where her husband Jack served as a call firefighter for many years. Jackie most loved sharing time with her family, watching her grandchildren grow and traveling to Cape Cod staying at The "Village Green Hotel" in Yarmouth. She was a true friend to many who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. FUNERAL MASS & CALLING HOURS
Calling hours will be Thursday September 5th from 5 to 8 p.m at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME, 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton. The funeral will Friday September 6th with people gathering at 9:30 a.m at The Roney Funeral Home before taking her to St. Mary's Church, 17 Waterville St. in North Grafton to celebrate her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband and son at St. Philip's Cemetery on Millbury St. in Grafton.
