Nancy A. (Grosso) Estaphan, 90
Shrewsbury - Nancy A. (Grosso) Estaphan, 90, died peacefully at Notre Dame Long Term Care, Worcester on Sunday, August 4, 2013. She leaves her three sons, Mitchell A. Estaphan and his wife, Karin of Dartmouth, MA, Anthony J. Estaphan and his wife, Cynthia of North Grafton, MA, and Francis P. Estaphan and his wife, Laurie of Millbury, MA; her sister, Jeanette MacConnell of Newport, NH; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Courtney, Matthew, Andrew, Lacey, Lila and Lindsey; three great-grandchildren: Averey, Paige and Dylan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Mitchell M. Estaphan who died in 2010, and her brothers Anthony, Louis, Sam and John.
Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Bellino) Grosso and resided in Shrewsbury most of her life. She attended Commerce High School. Nancy greatly enjoyed the 35 years she worked as a cashier at Spag's in Shrewsbury. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a devoted servant of her Lord and Savior. She spent many hours at her hobby of doll house miniatures, and was a loyal Red Sox fan, passing on her team spirit to her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she cherished her family and all their times together.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, August 8, from CALLAHAN AND FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Chapel at Notre Dame du Lac, 555 Plantation St. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, August 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Notre Dame du Lac Assisted Living Center, Harmony Unit, 555 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
